Aaron and Casey sat down — just them for the first time in a while — and reflected on their Valentine’s Day, sports, and life. They talked about the upcoming NFL veteran’s combine, NFL draft, and the merits of Rickie Weeks as a utility player for the Seattle Mariners. They also talked about Russell Wilson and his enjoyment of 50 Shades of Grey.
Alex Akita is back to talk about the Seahawks mostly, but also a variety of other topics that may be less good for a written medium. Alex talked to Aaron and Casey about the Seahawks offseason needs, players they may cut, and players they may draft. They also talked about seals having sex with penguins, for some reason.
On this episode of Offspeed Podcast, Casey and Aaron are joined by the great Kermet Apio. Kermet is best known as one of the most successful comedians in the Seattle area, but is also an avid Seattle sports fan who moved to Seattle from Hawaii during one of the pivotal times in Seattle sports. Kermet talked to Aaron and Casey about the Super Bowl (ugh) but by the end of the podcast/therapy session all of the guys feel a lot better.
On this podcast Aaron and Casey welcomed long-time Aaron Kirby friend, beer enthusiast, and lead singer of the band Six 2 Midnight, Sean Millar. Sean brought amazing beers and the three guys shared several beers over the course of two hours, 20 minutes of which got cut off by Casey being a dumb person, 18 minutes of which wasn’t much worth listening to anyways. The guys talked about baseball, football, and basketball, as well as too much talk about the stupid pseudo sport called professional wrestling and the amazing beers they were all drinking.
In the triumphant tenth episode of your favorite podcast, Aaron and Casey welcomed two comedians into Casey’s dining room, and Casey’s dining room will never be the same. This is maybe the dirtiest episode of any podcast Casey or Aaron have ever been involved with, but it’s funny nonetheless.
This is a packed episode, and in an ideal world it may include reaction to the result of the Ohio State victory over the Oregon Ducks for an NCAA championship, but instead it just includes everything else you may have ever wanted from the last eight days since our last podcast.
Additionally, before you do anything else, go donate some money to Dylan Avila. Dylan is a local comedian who was attacked during a show with a baseball bat last week, which you may have already heard about. Dylan doesn’t have health insurance, and will face bills for surgeries to repair two fractures to his skull as a result of the attack.
How we got to this title is a real display of how off the rails this podcast is, but here we are, and it’s too late to change anything. Aaron and Casey talk about the NFL playoffs, the coaching carousel, how every team looking for a coach seems to be looking at a Seahawks assistant coach, and a probably other coaching things. They talked about Jim Harbaugh, Sunday’s playoffs games, the Cactus Bowl (including some fat guy on offense stuff) and the tragic and unfortunate passing of Stuart Scott.
