The podcast does it’s first 3-way…interview! And the girls were so embarrassed they asked to not be named. Kidding! They just don’t want to get fired. Cory heads north of the border and meets up with two good friends whose stories about how they became strippers are great so give it a listen. And we’re back on Patreon because Cory’s hard drive didn’t fail on this one! The video is at (https://www.patreon.com/StripperWhisperer) – check it out and subscribe.
Kelz is our first stripper has worked in the midwest and on the east coast and I’m pretty she’s our first veteran. She has a great life story with lots of fun individual stories involving rappers and wild ATL night and strip clubs. She welcomed me in her home for a great interview that, aside from a pee break and my external hard drive failing (no video on this one), was as smooth and as chill as can be. I feel like I make friends with all the strippers I interview but what’s cool about Kelz is that she lives about 10 minutes from me – I see brunch and strippers in our future!
For the first time and 100% not the last, Cory forgets to hit the record button and loses the first few minutes of his interview with the lovely Nadia from Portland, Oregon (@thenadeshikoyamato). It actually makes her feel a little more comfy to have a trial run and even though Cory can’t pronounce her Insta handle, the “Take Two” interview goes great. Check out her Insta and be a peach and rate and review the pod. positively!
A lot of listeners have expressed curiosity about the impetus for this podcast. Like, why interview strippers and why me? So, I thought it would be a great idea to release my history frequenting strip clubs and how that has shaped and influenced my choice to interview the women (and eventually men) who work in the industry. Much of my intrigue comes from me seeing it as a very similar career to mine as a stand-up comedian. But there’s much more to it than that. So, listen to the first episode from inside the Champagne Room where I talk about my first ever trip to a strip club – Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas – with my ex-wife.
Natalie isn’t a stripper but she’s in a related industry – I’d say a cousin to strippers – as a bikini barista. What is that you ask? Women (and probably some men?) dress scantily (VERY scantily in some cases) and work in espresso stands on the side of the road or in parking lots of shopping centers making scorching hot coffee (and hot chocolate when I roll through) for folks who want to pay a little extra to see a lovely lady. I could do a lot of bad jokes about it but I won’t – just listen! Oh, and check Natalie out on Instagram, it’s a good follow! (https://www.patreon.com/StripperWhisperer)
One of Cory’s friends from Portland joins him this week on the pod. Sasha (@saintsashaa) and Cory go back years to a wild night they can’t even speak of (for legal reasons). They DO talk about all sorts of other kooky shit though – including what it’s like to come out – as both a stripper and a lesbian – to your parents. Check out the episode and give us 5 stars and subscribe if you’re nasty. (https://www.patreon.com/StripperWhisperer)
In a very special episode, Cory interviews long time strip club DJ, Bart Stewart (@revbartstewart). Listen to the “Reverend’s” stories about working with strippers in Spokane and Idaho. And, go check out the video and you’ll see that Bart looks EXACTLY what you’d think a strip club DJ looks like (https://www.patreon.com/StripperWhisperer).
